In Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, R2-D2 and C-3PO escape from Princess Leia’s ship in an escape pod. They land on Tatooine carrying a message for one of it’s inhabitants, Obi Wan Kenobi.
As soon as they land on the desert planet, it becomes apparent that they are lost.
C-3PO, unaware of the exact nature of R2’s mission, berates him for getting them hopelessly lost as they wander through the sand filled dunes and canyons of the inhospitable planet. They are caught by Jawas, sold onto Luke Skywalker and then narrowly avoid being destroyed in an attack by Tusken Raiders.
